Deadline has passed.
UPDATE: Victory! Senator Feinstein did indeed vote NO on the nomination of Jeff Sessions. This is a victory! It was the Senator’s first NO vote on Mr. Trump’s nominees. And hopefully not her last. Here’s her (long) but awesome testimony on the issue.
Called Senator Dianne Feinstein’s office to oppose the nomination of Jeff Sessions as Attorney General.
Here’s what to say. “I am asking you to oppose the nomination of Mr. Sessions. Someone with a history of contempt for civil rights is not the right person for our nation’s top lawyer.”
Today, I talked to a somewhat harried young fellow who said the following (paraphrased):
“Senator Feinstein has not yet taken a position on Mr. Sessions. She will announce it during the floor vote. Which is scheduled for tomorrow, but might be postponed, maybe.”
“Yes, we know that it is very hard to get through on the phone lines to Senator Feinstein. It is NOT true that she is looking for a certain threshold of calls to make her decision. But, she has purposely not stated her position yet because she wants her constituents to contact her to express themselves.”
This action expires on January 30, which is the earliest possible date for the floor vote for Attorney General.
