Deadline: February 14
What’s a MOC? Glad you asked. Until I read the Indivisible Guide, I didn’t know that term either. MOC is a Member of Congress.
Here in northern California, I feel lucky to be represented by relatively liberal MOCs who share many of my values. But these folks are going to need spines of steel to withstand the constant craziness of the Trump administration. They need to know that we have got their backs, and we need to inspire them to continue to fight the fight, day after day, even though it must be exhausting.
Well, what an opportunity! I love paper crafts. And craftism. And I don’t have enough people to make Valentines for. So I’m going to send a Valentine to my MOCs: Congressman Jared Huffman, Senator Kamala Harris, and Senator Dianne Feinstein. I haven’t yet made my valentines, so I can’t post a picture of them right now. I will. But in the meantime, I’m posting this so you will remember to make and mail a valentine, too. Or, if you don’t conveniently have a box of crafty valentine items, you can buy a card!
Who else deserves a Valentine, do you think? Let me know by clicking on contact me and maybe I’ll update this post with others to add to the list.
Here’s what I will say in the card (or something along these lines)
Dear (Senator Harris, Senator Feinstein, Congressman Huffman)
Thank you for standing up for love and kindness, rather than hate and fear. Stay strong!
