Making calls…

Deadline:  April 30, 2017

I’m catching up on phone calls to my MOCs this week.  I compiled a bunch of topics into a single XEczPuDvZvyDWvjlcall, so I just went down the list when talking to the staffers.  Here’s what I said:

(Interesting tidbit… the staffperson that I talked to in Dianne Feinstein’s San Francisco office said that in 2016, their average number of constituent calls was 11 per day.  Now, their call volume averages 400 calls per day.  And that’s just for the local office!  Ah… the Resistance is working….)

 Senator Kamala Harris:  415-355-9041

“Hi.  I’m a constituent calling about four topics today.  Are you ready to hear them?  Thanks!  1. Please cosponsor S. 65, the Presidential Conflict of Interest Act, which would require the President to divest financial assets which create a conflict of interest. 2. Please cosponsor S. 27, the bill to establish an independent commission on Russian interference in the 2016 election.  3. Please co-sponsor S. 200, the Restricting First Use of Nuclear Weapons Act of 2017, introduced by Sen. Edward Markey. The legislation would prohibit the President of the United States from launching a nuclear first strike without a declaration of war by Congress. 4. Please advocate for Mr. Jared Kushner’s security clearance to be revoked.  Mr. Kushner had a responsibility to report seven years of meetings with foreign officials. He lied by omission by not including recent meetings with a Russian bank owner and Russian ambassador. His security clearance should be revoked, and he should step down from his role in the White House. Americans will not tolerate dishonesty.”
